Catherine Romano is a minor character on The Sopranos.
Character overview[]
Catherine has known Junior Soprano (who she calls by his real first name Corrado) since they were both kids growing up in the same neighborhood. Catherine, Junior and his brother Johnny Soprano attended the same school near Ampere Parkway. She married Lou Romano, a cop who died from Hodgkin's the same week as the Shuttle disaster (which happened on January 28, 1986). She has at least one child, a son named Chuckie who is also a cop and married to Karen. She also has grandchildren. Junior knew Chuckie as a delivery boy for the butcher's (presumably Satriale's) and held Lou Romano in high regard.
Catherine and Corrado coincidentally reunited at the hospital when they were both about to be released, Catherine tries to cover up Junior’s legal medical situations. When Junior is back home Catherine stops by with manicotti, and suggested they go out. Catherine enjoyed spending time with Corrado. Livia Soprano phones Junior to stir up trouble when she learned Junior was "keeping company" with Catherine and tells him mockingly that she's so sweet, but she remembers Johnny told her Catherine let him feel her, but Junior dismissed her by saying, "Listen Livia, what you don't know could fill a book" and hangs up on her. Later Catherine returns gives him a massage while watching TV together and helps him with his CPAP mask at night.("House Arrest")
