David Henry Chase (born August 22, 1945) is an American screenwriter, director and producer. He created The Sopranos, serving as the series showrunner and head writer. He also made a few cameo appearances as minor characters, as well as directing two episodes. His daughter Michele DeCesare had a recurring role as Hunter Scangarelo.
