Gerry Torciano's Murderer is a one-time character on "The Sopranos". He is the hitman tasked with killing Gerry Torciano, a high-ranking mobster in the Lupertazzi crime family. He is portrayed by stuntman and actor Joey Giambattista.

As Johnny Sack reaches the end of his life in prison due to an untreatable lung cancer, the position of boss in the Lupertazzi family is up for grabs. Capo Gerry Torciano is a front runner, but also veteran mobster Faustino "Doc" Santoro. Doc, wanting the job for himself, decides to have Gerry killed to take out the competition. As Gerry and Silvio are having dinner with their comares at a restaurant in Brooklyn, the hitman enters the place. Gerry's blood gets splattered all over Silvio while he was talking to his mistress, and it's only after looking over to his side that he sees Gerry already having been shot once, causing a commotion in the entire restaurant. The hitman continues to shoot him as Silvio and the comares get up from the table and Gerry ducks, trying to escape while riddled with bullets. He crawls through the floor, but his efforts are futile, as the gunman approaches him and kills him with a finishing shot to the head. He then exits through the kitchen as all the other customers had run away or hidden.[1]
With Gerry's death, Doc became the boss, but it wouldn't take long before the murder was avenged by his superior, Phil Leotardo, who had Doc killed and became the boss himself.[2]
Personality[]
Very little is known about the hitman in general, but considering the ease with which he killed Gerry, he had to have been experienced in murder. He also had no qualms about the hit, which displays a ruthless attitude. Being that he volunteered for the murder, he probably supported Doc in becoming boss.[1]
