― Gino not being given what's owed to him |
Gino is a man who encountered Christopher Moltisanti in a bakery shop once.
Background[]
Gino is an overweight man that resides in New Jersey. He frequents Russo's Bakery in North Arlington where the cashier, Doug, knows him by name.
History[]
In 1999, Christopher Moltisanti went to a bakery shop to purchase pastries as a favor for Tony Soprano. After several other customers were served before Moltisanti, he becomes agitated when the cashier goes to serve Gino his usual order of Neapolitan loaves before him. The cashier explains to Moltisanti that Gino had previously been in line but had gone to get gas. Moltisanti sarcastically compares this rationale to leaving to go to have sex with the cashier's sister, returning to the bakery shop another day and going to the front of the line. Gino tries to relieve the tense situation by letting Moltisanti order first, but the cashier is unwilling to do so due to Moltisanti's attitude. After he is further unsuccessful in being served, Moltisanti escorts Gino out of the bakery shop and tells him to return in ten minutes. Moltisanti then proceeds to force the cashier at gunpoint to serve him and eventually shoots the man in the foot.
Trivia[]
- Gino is only credited as "Bakery Customer" in the credits, but his name is mentioned by the cashier.
- In reality, Gino was portrayed by Joseph R. Gannascoli, who would later star as a different character, Vito Spatafore, in a supporting role.
