Biography[]

Joanne did not seem to be very motherly to Christopher. She was annoyed with him about his drug habit, although she herself was a heavy wine drinker. When Christopher found an old picture of his father in a US Navy uniform when he was a young man, he figured his mother would be touched by this. Chris went to his mother, saying that there were not many pictures of Dickie Moltisanti, she dismissed the gesture and instead derided Christopher about how life is passing him by.

She was later seen alongside Tony and several other friends and family as Christopher was high. She was part of an intervention to his heroin addiction. When this got out of control as Christopher retorted with whataboutisms, such as Tony's gluttony and Silvio's adultery, he attacked his mother for guzzling wine. When the men threatened Christopher, she actually remarked they would "knock some sense into him", leading to Christopher remarking "Fuck you, you fuckin' whore!" This caused the men to attack Christopher in retaliation, causing a massive fight. The ladies were seen screaming. Joanne did seem shocked at it. Joanne is deeply devastated by her son’s death.
