John Stefano is a supporting character portrayed by Joey Perillo. He is a crooked businessman who is an associate of the DiMeo/Soprano crime family and runs an illegal asbestos dumping operation.
Biography[]
John is seen at the asbestos dumping site when Soprano underboss Bobby Baccalieri and soldier Anthony Maffei make their collections. Stefano hands Baccalieri a thick roll of $100 notes and after he's reprimanded for not putting the money into an envelope, Stefano explains that he has hired Ecuadorian and Polish workers for his dumping operation. Anthony Maffei asks why the workers aren't wearing any protective gear for the asbestos but John tells him that if the workers were in a union and protected the trio wouldn't be able to make any sizeable profit from the illegal operation.
