Kamal, portrayed by Homie Doroodian, is a minor character in The Sopranos.
History[]
Kamal was a friend of Matush Zhia and presumably involved in his drug dealing business.
In November 2004, Matush and Kamal were planning to buy an apartment in New Jersey, but because they weren't U.S. citizens, Matush would have to provide a printed copy of his passport via fax. One evening, the pair went to the Lollipop Club and after introducing Kamal to Adriana La Cerva, the manager of the club, Matush asked to use the printer in her office, paying her off with a sample of ectsasy.
However, an upset customer, Gilbert Nieves, was also at the club and while Matush and Kamal were trying to scan the passport copy in the office, Gilbert confronted Matush at knifepoint and demanded his money back for being sold laxative-cut cocaine. Kamal told Gilbert to back away, but as he ignored the warning, Kamal grabbed a stone ash tray and hit Gilbert in the head while distracted. Kamal helps restrain Gilbert as Matush punches him and disarms Gilbert by biting his hand bloody. Matush ends up stabbing Gilbert to death and as the two catch their breaths, Adriana walks in on the scene. Matush and Kamal convince Adriana to keep quiet about the murder and help them dispose of the corpse by getting them a bag and cleaning supplies.
After Matush and Kamal dump the body in the sea near Long Branch, their whereabouts are unknown. The FBI ended up identifying Matush, evidenced by their knowledge of his full name in "Join the Club", but Kamal is never brought up by any of the agents.
