Season 4[]
One evening, Matt is hanging out with his friends A.J, Jason, Patrick, Devin, and Liz in somebody’s basement (possibly Devin’s). The friends talk about A.J’s father’s involvement in organized crime and compare his family’s life to the one depicted in the Godfather. A.J. revealed that his father co-owns the Bada-Bing and the group decided to go there, but by mistake they go to Satriale's Pork Store because A.J. was confused. ("Everybody Hurts")
Season 5[]
Matt and A.J. look in the mirror and see that thier faces have been drawn on.
After seeing a concert at the Manhattan Center Matt, A.J, and some other friends stay the night at the Hudson Suites Hotel and they do drugs and drink beer, despite being underage and some of them get drunk. Matt vomited in the toilet and passed out on the bathroom floor. When he and A.J. wake up in the morning, A.J’s face is glued to the rug and and he helps him as best as he can to get his face unglued. When a housekeeper knocks at the door, Matt yells “were asleep”. When they look in the mirror, A.J.’s eyebrows were shaved and drawn on his forehead with a black sharpie, and Matt has a mustache and soul patch drawn on his face, someone did it while he was passed out in the bathroom. ("All Happy Families...") One night, Matt attends a party along with Patrick Whalen, Anthony Soprano, Devin Pillsbury and some other people. ("All Due Respect")

Matt goes clubbing in New York City with A.J, Hernan O'Brien and some other friends. ("Johnny Cakes")
