Beansie Gaeta moved to Miami from New Jersey and opened a club there after being crippled by Richie Aprile. Ralph Cifaretto travels to Miami to get away from New Jersey, while Johnny Sacrimoni is planning to have him killed in the episode "The Weight". Tony Soprano takes a trip to Miami to visit Beansie in the episode "Calling All Cars". Tony and Paulie Gualtieri visit Miami in order lay low from the heat that came upon them when the FBI found the body of Willie Overall and, at some point, visit Beansie, meet with Cuban gangsters and take a boat trip in the episode "Remember When".
