The Spec House is a house project that Carmela Soprano is involved with.

Season 5[]
Carmela and Tony find a lot in some woods and survey it and she decides to build the spec house there. (“Long Term Parking”)
Season 6[]
One night, Carmela has a dream about the spec house and Adriana is in it and she disappeared. The construction project on the house isn’t going too well due to a stop order and the lumber was used improperly. An inspector comes and looks at the house and says he has to agree with the original assessment. Carmela’s father thinks Pudgy Walsh, an inspector he used to know, could help but he retired. Carmela is not happy so she argues with her father. (“Members Only”)
Carmela tries to pressure Tony into having the inspector allow her to move forward with the project but he seems to often forget. When she comes to inspect the house she sees the materials are missing then she goes to her parent’s house to confront her father for selling materials from the construction sight, which she was horrified to learn. (“Live Free or Die”)
When the house is finally finished Carmela and Hugh sell it to her cousin Brian Cammarata and his wife who’s pregnant. She worried about the sub standard materials that her father used but he said he used the same ones before. Carmela cleared $600,000 on the house when she tells Tony about it he gives her information an a gambling tip and tires to encourage her to bet his half on a football game but she refuses which he accepts initially, but when his spiked team wins he becomes angry at Carmela for keeping him from winning. They two get in a fight and Tony threatens that the house's roof would collapse on the unborn child. (“Chasing It”)
