Theresa Pollio is a mentioned character in The Sopranos. She was the mother of Livia Soprano and her siblings.
Biography[]
Theresa was a housewife and matriarch of the Pollio family. Theresa and her husband, Faustino, known as "Augie," had up to eight children, at least four of whom were born before their emigration, with another stillborn aboard ship. The Pollios are believed to have arrived in the United States later than the Soprano family, likely between the late 1910s and early 1920s. Theresa's daughter, Livia, was the first of her children to be born outside of Italy, followed by Settimia.
Along with the rest of her family, she lived in constant abject poverty. At home, her husband, Augie, was a callous and bitter man who violently attacked his family.
